How Do I Conduct a Teleseminar?
Q: Hi! I have been scrolling through all I have bought from you and all of your awesome emails. I am SURE that the answer is somewhere here (ugh!)…but, I need some advice on how to get started with teleseminars. Who do you recommend using?
A: Teleseminars are a great way to build relationships, educate your market and sell products.
There are so many different kinds of teleseminars you can conduct:
- A free teleseminar - You can have these just for customer appreciation, as a relationship-builder with your prospects or to promote a current or upcoming product. Or you can later turn a free teleseminar into a paid product by offering the recordings and transcripts at a later date.
- A paid teleseminar - You can charge for entrance to a teleseminar. You might do just one session or conduct a teleseminar series. You can increase the value of your paid teleseminar by offering the recordings and transcripts. Or you can sell the recordings and transcripts as an upsell to the live teleseminar.
Those are just a few ideas. But what will you talk about on your teleseminar?
Certainly, what you talk about, will depend on what your target market wants to learn about. Be sure to ask your readers what they want to know and even give them an opportunity to submit specific questions to you. Then you just answer the questions in the teleseminar.
You can also use the teleseminar as an opportunity to provide group coaching or training, providing a more interactive experience. Find out what your customers want and deliver it.
Recommend Services to Conduct Your Teleseminar:
- Conference Line: I use Free Conference that allows up to 100 people on the line for free.
- Teleseminar Recordings: You can record them yourself or contact Kelly at Audio Filing. She’s been recording most of my teleseminars for a couple years now and I love working with her, so encouraged her to get her recording services officially set up. She’s still working on the website, but send her an email to see how you might work together.
I also use DJ Dave at Hi Fi Web Guy now and then.
- Transcripts: Transcripts are a must for any teleseminar product that you’ll be selling. Realize that not everyone will be able to download your audios and many people prefer to read…plus, adding the extra feature to your product adds to the value of your product. I recommend Mila at Absolute Transcription and Mel at Ballyhoo Virtual Assistance. They both do a great job at a reasonable price.
Teleseminars really a great way to easily create content and to help build a relationships with your subscribers and customers. It may seem intimidating at first, but once you get the hang of it, they get kind of addicting.
